Keyfax Self Service Repairs2023-06-26T08:47:43+01:00

Tenant Self-Service Repairs

As a web-based solution, Keyfax Repairs Online is easy to implement and integrate, with a ready-made call-flow process that guides the tenant through their repair diagnosis. It can be integrated with the same back office systems used in the contact centre, whilst maintaining the necessary safeguards. This means there is no need to follow up a call because reported requests can be trusted and the organisation maintains control.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when our leaseholders use Self-Service Repairs – their repairs are handled differently to the tenants?2023-06-21T20:20:16+01:00

If the diagnosis of a repair issue for leaseholders and tenants is different then you can simply build separate sets of scripts for leaseholders. The Housing Management or CRM system launching Keyfax can send that information to Keyfax at start-up. Keyfax will then launch the correct set of scripts for the resident.

Where is the solution hosted – is this offered as Software as a Service?2023-06-21T20:20:59+01:00

This is entirely optional. If your organisation is ‘SaaS only’ then we can certainly provide self-service repairs (and all of the Keyfax modules) hosted on Omfax Azure servers in the cloud. Many of our customers still have on premise installations of Keyfax and we are happy to support them as well. Whatever works best for your organisation.

Can this be integrated into my existing Online Portal, or is it stand-alone?2023-06-21T20:21:26+01:00

Most customers use Keyfax integrated with a portal provider from the major HMS providers or MS Dynamics. An integration is where most of the benefits of self-service come from. Keyfax diagnoses the repair and the resulting answers, priority and SOR codes are written directly back into the Portal for scheduling. But we also support self-service repairs in stand-alone mode.

Does Self-Service Repairs use the same diagnostics as the staff version?2023-06-21T20:21:47+01:00

The same simple diagnostics building can be done through the Keyfax Administrator Tools. And the same diagnostics can be used as a starting point for self-service repairs, if you already have Repairs Diagnostics for staff. However, many customers find it useful to start afresh with the model diagnostics, rather than spend time unpicking the contact centre messages.

So we could just launch Self-Service Repairs within an iframe on our portal?2023-06-21T20:22:17+01:00

Whilst technically this is possible, we recommend against this. With ever growing tighter security for browsers, iFrames are becoming unreliable as a way of displaying another website or services content. We always recommend opening Keyfax self-service repairs in a new browser window. This removes cross-origin issues and makes for a more robust integration.
